Aurore Havenne
Belgian artist Aurore Havenne spent her childhood in the countryside imagining other worlds and gazing at the stars, dreaming of travels and unknown cities. While waiting for her "real-life" adventures, she honed her drawing skills at the Beaux-Arts in Namur.
Travel and extended stays abroad quickly became part of her daily life: Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, cities in Northern and Southern Europe—Aurore didn't miss a single part of the globe. Her discoveries were endless, as was her openness to the world.
Upon arriving in Brussels, she began her jewelry studies at the Arts et Métiers engineering school. This discipline, which transcends the frenetic pace of fashion, fulfilled her need for timelessness, for objects that accompany the wearer, for adornments to which each person can lend their own personal symbolism. Inspired by the city, its volumes, its buildings, its sounds, its flows, its art, its energy, she creates jewelry with pure, minimalist, deceptively simple lines. The concepts of cycle and emptiness represent a significant part of her work, leading her to create pieces that exist as much through their lines as through their absence.
