A ball of clay (Large Model 13cm) , whitened with ceruse, with a honey scent — a fragment of the workshop placed in the house.
In the cool shade of a southern farmhouse, a clay sphere from Anduze captures the light on its whitewashed curves. Its rosy skin, soft to the touch, reveals the potter's hand. It seems to hold the memory of the kiln's heat, the hand that shaped it, the silence of the fragrant hills.
A breath of honey, polished wood, and filtered sunlight envelops the space. The fragrance rises slowly from the terracotta, diffusing a comforting sweetness, patinated by time. The escutcheon engraved on the sphere evokes the forgotten coat of arms of a southern home, nestled between warm stones and blooming lavender.
