Spoturno 1921 Extrait is the most concentrated and precious version of the signature fragrance from the house founded by Véronique Spoturno, great-granddaughter of François Spoturno, known as Coty. Composed by Christopher Sheldrake, it shares the same exceptional pyramid with the Eau de Parfum — Damask rose, grandiflorum jasmine, ambergris, myrrh, civet, sandalwood — but the extrait concentration deeply transforms the olfactory experience. It's not simply stronger: it's slower, denser, more complex.
The citrus and Damask rose opening settles with more restraint — the top notes fade less quickly, allowing the rose to fully unfold before the heart takes over. Grandiflorum jasmine, ylang-ylang, lavender, and ambergris gradually expand into a floral richness and precision that the extrait concentration makes particularly perceptible — each note is more distinct, more present, less fused. And the base settles with exceptional slowness and persistence — sandalwood, vetiver, slightly resinous and balsamic myrrh, slightly animalic and musky civet, tonka, vanilla, musks — a present and very long-lasting sillage that accompanies the skin for hours after application.

What is the difference from the Eau de Parfum?
The extrait concentration transforms the olfactory experience in three ways: the sillage goes from Moderate to Present, the longevity from Good to Very Long, and each note is revealed with more slowness and complexity. The myrrh and civet in the base are more perceptible, the Damask rose more complete in its facets. It's the same composition — but seen more closely, with more time.
How long does it take for the composition to unfold?
In extrait, the top notes evaporate more slowly — the Damask rose can remain perceptible for 20 to 30 minutes before the jasmine takes its place. The base, meanwhile, can last 12 to 18 hours depending on the skin. It is a fragrance that reveals itself over time, and rewards patience.
How to apply an extrait de parfum?
