In the land of Egypt, storytellers often wait until nightfall to recount the epic tale of the god Ra, born without mother or father, who became the sun and reigned over all sources of life. The house founded by Jérôme Di Marino drew inspiration from this to compose an extract that smells exactly like this: the young scarab Khepri rising at dawn, with iridescent armor, and the golden clarity of a sky that refuses to yield to darkness.
The opening is immediately luminous and powdery — ambrette and cardamom, vibrant, almost solar. Tuberose absolute settles in the heart on a clean linen accord, a floral and white texture, crisp like sun-dried fabric, which gives the composition a rare clarity without ever becoming sweet or heady. And the base settles with a resinous myrrh and enveloping ambrette butter — warm, golden, persistent — that extends the sillage like the light of a sunset.
