With this refill, Diptyque — a house founded in 1961 on Boulevard Saint-Germain — offers a second mood for the same bottle: a cleanser that transforms the act of washing into an immediate moment of well-being, particularly welcome at the end of the day, when hands need softness as much as cleanliness.
The formula is based on two genuine botanical hydrosols — fine lavender floral water from Provence and rosemary floral water — which bring their soothing and lightly toning properties directly into the washing base. Honey supports and soothes. Glycerin moisturizes. And the olfactory signature — lavender, rosemary, ylang-ylang, amber — creates a tender and slightly floral aromatic accord, of remarkable softness and consistency. The exfoliating refill contains olive stone grains and a green and vegetal aromatic signature (bay leaf) — it cleanses, exfoliates, and prepares. The comforting refill is grain-free and has a floral and soothing signature (lavender, rosemary, honey) — it cleanses and comforts. Two complementary uses, same bottle.
What is lavender hydrosol?
It is the floral water obtained during lavender distillation — distinct from essential oil, it contains water-soluble aromatic molecules and mild soothing properties. Its presence in a washing formula is a sign of botanical expertise.
