Acqua della Regina — "The Queen's Water" — is one of the most historically significant preparations from Santa Maria Novella, a perfumery founded in Florence in 1221. It originates from Aqua Reginae Hungariae, considered by historians to be the first eau de Cologne in history, developed around 1370 by Florentine Dominican monks for Queen Elizabeth of Hungary. A luminous citrus accord — bergamot, lemon, neroli, lavender — in a contemporary care bottle: seven centuries of tradition distilled into a daily cleansing gesture.
The formula is gentle and respectful, enriched with calendula to soften and preserve skin balance. The foam is fine and airy — light, fresh, enveloping.
