The same resinous architecture, but in a Parfum concentration that changes everything: the depth is immediate, the sillage magnetic, the longevity exceptional. The black bottle announces the matter.
In this Parfum concentration, the composition strikes with an immediacy that Mortel Eau de Parfum does not achieve. Madagascar black pepper and nutmeg open with a dry, electric warmth — a spicy tension that prepares the resin for its entry. Somalian frankincense then rises in all its density, accompanied by Mystikal — a smoky, deep accord with an almost solid texture. Then the base settles for many long hours: warm benzoin, slightly animalic cistus absolute, bitter and persistent myrrh. Mortel Black does not dissipate. It burns slowly, lastingly, obstinately.

Mortel Black by Trudon is a unisex woody resinous Parfum created by Maison Trudon, founded in 1643. A more concentrated and radical version of Mortel, it explores resinous matter and incense to their melting point — a composition of exceptional intensity and persistence. Its olfactory pyramid revolves around a heart of Somalian frankincense-Mystikal of remarkable density, opened by Madagascar black pepper and nutmeg in an immediate spicy warmth, and extended by a base of benzoin, cistus absolute and myrrh of exceptional persistence. In Parfum concentration — the highest in perfumery — the composition expresses itself with a richness and longevity of 10 to 12 hours.

What is the difference between Mortel and Mortel Black?
Mortel Black is a Parfum concentration — higher than Mortel Eau de Parfum. The composition is more immediate, denser, and more persistent. The Mystikal in the heart brings a deeper smoke than in Mortel. If Mortel is a smoldering ember, Mortel Black is that same ember glowing red-hot.
What is Mystikal in the composition?
Mystikal is a proprietary Trudon accord — a smoky and resinous material specially developed to amplify the frankincense in Mortel Black. It adds a textured, almost solid depth that gives the fragrance's heart its unique character and incomparable density.
How many sprays are needed for Mortel Black?
One to two is enough. In Parfum concentration, the material is extremely concentrated — a single spray on the wrist or neck is enough for a full day. Start with one spray, evaluate after 30 minutes before adding a second if necessary.
