At Trudon, a house founded in 1643 and the first supplier of candles to France's great cathedrals, resin and frankincense have been a daily working material for four centuries. This expertise, accumulated in vaults and naves, Trudon has transposed into a perfume. Mortel is its direct consequence — deep, vibrant, almost ceremonial.
In this Eau de Parfum concentration, the composition strikes from the opening. Pimento and black pepper establish an immediate, almost incandescent warmth — a spicy tension that prepares the material for its entrance. Somali frankincense then rises to the heart in all its sacred density — deep, slightly smoky, vibrating like a flame in an enclosed space. Then the base unfurls its resins: warm benzoin, slightly amber and animalic cistus absolute, bitter and deep myrrh. This resinous architecture is remarkably rich and persistent — Mortel does not disappear. It transforms.

Its olfactory pyramid revolves around a deep heart of Somali frankincense, opened by pimento and black pepper in an immediate spicy warmth, and extended by a base of benzoin, cistus absolute, and myrrh with remarkable resinous density.
