The Deep Cleansing Oil is the first step in the Susanne Kaufmann routine — designed to dissolve make-up, sunscreens, and impurities without ever compromising the skin barrier. The philosophy of the Austrian alpine house is reflected in the precise simplicity of the formula: a selection of pure vegetable oils — sunflower, rapeseed, apricot kernel — for a deep cleanse that respects the skin's natural balance from the very first contact.
Sunflower seed oil, rich in essential fatty acids and naturally antioxidant, nourishes, softens and protects the skin. Rapeseed oil strengthens the skin barrier and maintains hydration throughout cleansing. Apricot kernel oil softens and revives radiance, bringing softness and glow from the first application. The plant-based emulsifier transforms the oil into milk upon contact with water, for a clean rinse, with no greasy film or residue. And vitamin E protects the skin and the oils themselves from oxidative stress. The texture is fluid, silky and enveloping — it glides over the skin, captures impurities, then emulsifies for a flawless rinse.

What is oil cleansing and why is it effective on make-up?
Oil cleansing is based on a simple principle: like dissolves like. The vegetable oils in the formula (sunflower, rapeseed, apricot) effectively dissolve make-up, sunscreens, and excess sebum, which are often harder to remove with a water-based cleanser alone. The emulsifier then transforms the oil into milk upon contact with water, for a clean and residue-free rinse.
