Can vitamin C and niacinamide be combined in the same serum?
Yes — contrary to a persistent misconception, vitamin C and niacinamide are perfectly compatible in a well-designed formula. The fear of a reaction (niacin formation) only applies to very high concentrations and specific conditions. Mimétique uses stabilized vitamin C (ascorbyl glucoside form) and niacinamide at an optimal concentration that work synergistically: vitamin C brightens and protects, niacinamide evens and regulates.
What are oligo-β-glucans and why are they in this serum?
Beta-glucans are natural polysaccharides extracted from oats or yeasts, known for stimulating skin defenses and cellular communication. Oligo-β-glucans are their low molecular weight form, which penetrates more easily into the epidermis to activate Langerhans cells (skin immune cells) and accelerate natural regeneration processes. In Skin Revive, they work synergistically with the SMR-C5 complex to amplify the skin's ability to renew itself.
How long does a 30 ml bottle last?
Approximately 2 months with morning and evening use — 3 to 4 drops per application are sufficient. The texture is very fluid and spreads easily, limiting the amount needed per application. The pump bottle dispenses precisely with each press.
What is Skin Revive's place in the complete Mimétique routine?
Step 2, after Skin Cloud (cleansing) and before Skin Booster (optional oil) and Skin Restore or Skin Restore+ (cream). On dry skin after cleansing: 3 to 4 drops gently pressed onto the face and neck. Wait 60 seconds for absorption before applying oil or cream. In the morning, finish with CTRL Eye and Everyday 50.
