Skin Cloud is Mimétique's cleanser — and one of the most sensorial and precise cleansing balms we've discovered. Designed according to the principle of biomimicry, it respects the skin's barrier where most cleansers destroy it. The formula based on plant squalane and selected oils works in natural affinity with the skin's sebum: it dissolves makeup, sunscreens, and impurities through lipid affinity, without ever attacking the skin's natural lipids. Even waterproof makeup gives way without rubbing, irritation, or residue.
The texture is what immediately sets it apart — a melting balm to the touch, it transforms into a rich oil when massaged, then becomes a light, fluid milk upon contact with water for a clean and complete rinse. No oily film, no residue, no tightness: the skin is clean, supple, and soothed, as if it had just been nourished rather than cleansed. Biomimetic squalane strengthens the skin's barrier during makeup removal — an elegant paradox. Plum oil softens and enhances radiance. Grape seed oil protects and smoothes. How does the evolving balm-oil-milk texture work?
Upon contact with dry fingers, the balm immediately melts into a light oil — this is the lipid phase that dissolves makeup, sunscreens, and impurities through lipid affinity. Upon contact with water, the oil emulsifies and becomes a fluid, gentle milk that rinses off easily and completely, without leaving an oily film. This is the same logic as dual-phase makeup removers, but in a unique texture and without needing to shake.
Is it suitable for oily or acne-prone skin?
Yes — squalane is one of the few truly non-comedogenic oils: its molecular structure is so close to human sebum that the skin does not perceive it as a foreign body and does not overcompensate. Grape seed oil, rich in linoleic acid, is also known to regulate sebum production. Skin Cloud cleanses oily skin without stripping it or causing reactions.
Does it remove waterproof makeup?
Yes — the principle of lipid dissolution removes waterproof pigments by affinity without rubbing. Apply to dry skin, gently massage for 30 to 60 seconds, focusing on made-up areas, then rinse with lukewarm water. The most stubborn residues disappear effortlessly and without irritation.
What is the difference between the 100 ml and 30 ml sizes?
The formula is identical. The 30 ml is the travel or discovery size — compatible with carry-on baggage restrictions, and ideal for trying Skin Cloud before switching to the larger size. The 100 ml is the daily size, representing approximately 2 to 3 months of use morning and evening.
