Cologne Vétiver by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is a woody and oriental interpretation of vetiver, a mythical plant native to Asia, now cultivated on the islands of Haiti and Réunion. Used for centuries, its deep roots were woven into aromatic mats and trampled on the ground to release their captivating fragrance.
The fragrance opens with a burst of lemon and petitgrain, softened by delicate jasmine. At its heart, bitter orange blossom and rose meet vetiver for a refined balance of strength and tenderness. The base, darker and more elegant, blends oakmoss, patchouli, and vanilla.
