Iris is the first Eau de Parfum created by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. This contemporary fragrance captures the essence of time, celebrating Florence and its emblematic flower: the iris, still a symbol of the city today. At the heart of the composition lies precious Florentine iris concrete, obtained after six years of decanting rhizomes cultivated on the Tuscan hills, which brings a unique powdery velvetiness, a balance of light and softness.
The fragrance opens with a burst of galbanum, enhanced by Timur pepper and the luminous freshness of neroli. The delicate yet assertive floral heart blends geranium, magnolia champaca, and jasmine sambac. At the base, Florentine iris melts into an accord of musk and ambergris, creating a trail that is at once enveloping, elegant, and intensely refined.
