Véronique Stambouli, the exclusive perfumer for the Grasse-born house of Unika, crafts a Mediterranean olfactory landscape of rare precision and truth – not an evocation, but a reconstruction. Corsican citron, maquis myrtle, Mediterranean immortelle – three ingredients deeply rooted in a specific territory, treated with the sobriety and exacting standards that define Unika's philosophy.
In this Eau de Parfum concentration, the composition strikes with a sharp, slightly saline vibrancy from the very first spray. The citron — a citrus with a more bitter and textured profile than conventional lemon — establishes a incisive clarity, accompanied by myrtle with its aromatic and slightly camphorated facets, and grapefruit that lightens and diffuses. This is an opening that doesn't flatter – it cuts. Fig, sea spray, and immortelle then emerge in the heart in an accord that is central to Véronique Stambouli's vision: fig brings a milky, slightly shaded sweetness, sea spray a subtly salty minerality, and immortelle – an emblematic Corsican flower with absolutely unique honey-curry-cut hay facets – gives the composition a vegetal and slightly wild warmth that no other material can replicate. Citron is a distinct citrus fruit from lemon — larger, more fragrant, with a more bitter, textured, and slightly floral olfactory profile.
