After studying at the Atelier Chardon Savard in Paris, Marie-Sophie joined Colette — the world-renowned destination for high-end curation, at the intersection of fashion, design, beauty and fragrance. For seven years, she worked alongside the most singular creators, emerging brands and houses known for their uncompromising vision.

It was there that she refined what would become her signature: a discerning eye, careful listening, and the conviction that every chosen object must carry an intention.

The discovery of niche perfumery

Over the course of her career, Marie-Sophie specialised in niche perfumery. She discovered the richness of raw materials, the work of independent perfumers, and the depth of houses that refuse industrial logic. She understood early on that fragrance is not a beauty product like any other — it is a form of writing, an emotion, a way of existing.

This conviction is the foundation of every choice made for Maison Diaphane.

Maison Diaphane, a different vision of independent perfumery

In 2023, Marie-Sophie co-founded Maison Diaphane with Renaud in Angers. An independent perfumery that selects with rigour niche perfumes, luxury candles, exceptional skincare and scented objects from French and international houses.

Available in-store at 11 rue des Lices in Angers, and throughout France via the e-commerce site, Maison Diaphane represents over thirty independent houses — each chosen for its singularity, the quality of its materials and the strength of its identity.

Accompaniment as a core profession

Marie-Sophie leads brand selection, purchasing and client accompaniment. Every boutique visit, every Olfactory Diagnosis, every piece of advice given reflects the same approach: listen before advising, understand before suggesting, find the fragrance that matches a personality — not a trend.
