The Nourishing Body Balm is Susanne Kaufmann's flagship body care product — designed by the Austrian alpine house to meet the most intense needs of dry, rough, or climate-stressed skin. In Vorarlberg, where winters are harsh and springs are cool and dry, skin needs body care of another dimension — not just hydrating, but truly nourishing, repairing, capable of deeply restoring the skin barrier and protecting it lastingly. This balm does exactly that.
The formula is built around a base of three complementary nourishing active ingredients. Olive oil — rich in unsaturated fatty acids and natural antioxidants — intensely nourishes and helps the skin retain its moisture. Shea butter protects, strengthens the skin barrier, and provides lasting nourishment that renews over hours. And beeswax forms a natural protective film that limits water loss and protects against external aggressions. More unique active ingredients are added to this base: honey and pollen — the brand's alpine beekeeping signature — soothe irritations, support regeneration, and bring remarkable vitality to damaged areas. Whey proteins improve skin softness and balance. Sunflower oil provides light nourishment. Glycerin maintains hydration. And vitamin E protects against free radicals. Despite its richness, the texture is perfectly controlled — it melts on contact with the skin, absorbs quickly, and leaves a velvety, non-greasy, non-sticky finish.

What's the difference between this balm and the Bath for the Senses Body Butter or the Regenerating Body Lotion?
The Nourishing Body Balm is the richest of the three — a dense balm texture based on shea, beeswax, and honey, for dry to very dry skin. The Bath for the Senses Body Butter is a creamier, melting butter, more focused on sensoriality and the pleasure of the gesture. The Regenerating Body Lotion is the lightest formula of the three — fast-absorbing, suitable for normal to slightly dry skin. All three can complement each other or be used alternately depending on skin needs and the season.

Massage in upward circular motions until fully absorbed. Focus on typical dry areas: elbows, knees, heels, shins. In winter or very cold weather, a second application in the evening before bed is recommended.
