ALPHÉE
A mineral and solar fragrance, inspired by a Corsican cruise and a mythical poem.
A tribute to Alphée Dubois, renowned engraver and winner of the Grand Prix de Rome, this fragrance captures the memory of a cruise along the rocky coast of Corsica towards the Sanguinaires Islands. The inspiration comes as much from family history as from a poem by Coleridge, where a sacred river joins a sunless sea.
Created by Christophe Sheldrake, Alphée is a fresh and textured fragrance. The top notes burst with citrus: bergamot, bitter orange, and mandarin. These are followed by myrtle leaves and juniper berries, reminiscent of the Corsican maquis. The heart is enriched with sun-drenched jasmine, neroli, and light spices. At the base, a mineral amber – Ambrofix – blends with vetiver and musks for a crystalline and enveloping sensation.
