Azemour is a city in Morocco — on the Atlantic coast, between Casablanca and El Jadida — known for centuries for its orange groves that stretch down to the mouth of the Oum Rabia. Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, independent perfumer and doctor in plant chemistry, founder of Parfum d'Empire, did not want to compose an orange blossom perfume like any other. He wanted to recreate an entire landscape — the orange grove under the sun, the dry and slightly dusty earth, the wind simultaneously bringing citrus fruits, flowers, and the surrounding vegetation. A fragrance of precise geographical and sensory memory.
In this Eau de Parfum concentration, the composition bursts open with luminous and slightly spicy generosity from the start. Orange, clementine, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, coriander, cumin, black pepper, pink peppercorn, and blackcurrant bud create a citrusy opening of exceptional richness and vibrancy — not a simple citrus, but a whole family of citruses intertwined with soft spices that give freshness immediate warmth and complexity. Neroli, orange blossom, geranium, and old rose then arrive in the heart in a honeyed and slightly warm floral accord — neroli with its slightly bitter and floral facets, orange blossom in its creamy sweetness, old rose bringing a discreet floral softness. Oakmoss, hay, cypress, suede accord, and henna finally settle in the base in a vegetal, dry, and slightly earthy material of great singularity — hay brings a golden and slightly dusty warmth, henna its vegetal and slightly earthy facets specific to the North African plant, the suede accord a discreet leathery softness.
