This dense, resinous vegetation, slightly smoky under the sun, slightly iodized when the wind comes from the sea, covers the mountain slopes and extends to the edge of the cliffs. The independent perfumer and doctor in plant chemistry, founder of Parfum d'Empire, presents his most minimalist composition here — just seven notes, chosen with botanical precision that speaks volumes about his training. Where Aziyadé stacks twenty materials to recreate the opulence of an Istanbul bazaar, Corsica Furiosa distills seven plants to capture the essence of an entire island.
In this Eau de Parfum concentration, the composition opens with a sharp and slightly mentholated vivacity. Lime, mint, and mastic create an incisive and slightly resinous freshness — lime is more biting and bitter than yellow lemon, mint has its slightly camphorated facets, and above all, mastic, an emblematic shrub of the Mediterranean maquis, with its slightly smoky and resinous facets that immediately give this sensation of dry, vibrant vegetation. Tomato leaf and black pepper then arrive in the heart with a green and slightly spicy accord of absolute singularity — tomato leaf, a rare material in perfumery, brings a slightly acidic and herbaceous plant freshness that is immediately perceived but never quite named.
