Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, independent perfumer and doctor in plant chemistry, founder of Parfum d'Empire, delivers here his most solar and directly joyful composition — a deliberate contrast with the baroque intensity of Aziyadé or the carnal depth of Musc Tonkin. Salute! is proof that this perfumer can also choose lightness, conviviality, immediate pleasure — and succeed with the same elegance as in his most complex compositions.
In this Eau de Parfum concentration, the composition opens with a lively and luminous citrusy burst, immediately generous. Lemon, grapefruit, and mandarin establish a vibrant and slightly tart freshness — solar, direct, making you want to inhale deeply. But Corticchiato doesn't stop at conventional freshness — as soon as the citrus notes evaporate, something unexpected appears. Vine leaf, wine lees, and iris arrive at the heart in a remarkably unique vegetal and slightly fermented accord.
