The aesthetic clinic CLEO, located in an 18th-century building in Caudéran (Bordeaux), entrusted Diaphane Projects with the creation of Aranciera, a refined olfactory signature designed to embody the history and values of its four founders.
When Dr. Anne-Charlotte Allahoum contacted Diaphane Projects, her intention was clear: to give the CLEO clinic an additional dimension, almost imperceptible but immediately felt. It was not just a simple ambient fragrance, but an olfactory signature capable of embodying the history, vision, and values shared by the four founders.
A fragrance worthy of an exceptional place
CLEO is located in the heart of a sublime 18th-century building in Caudéran, near Bordeaux. A place where architectural beauty, medical precision, gentle care, and a keen sense of detail meet. Creating a fragrance for CLEO meant finding a subtle balance: expressing high standards while immediately providing well-being, calm, and soft light.
Aranciera, a fragrance as soft as a slow breath
After several ideas, trials, and adjustments, Aranciera was born: a refined creation, designed as an olfactory caress. Elegant but never ostentatious, it welcomes visitors from their first steps into the clinic and contributes to a serene and enveloping atmosphere.
Its formulation remains confidential, but one can detect the presence of velvety citrus, delicate white flowers, and subtle woods, weaving a luminous and reassuring fragrance.
An olfactory identity is never just an ambient fragrance.
It is an emotion translated into volatile matter, capable of telling the story of a place without a word — and reassuring a patient even before they have spoken with the medical team.
Why an aesthetic clinic needs an olfactory signature
In an aesthetic medical facility, the patient experience begins long before the consultation: it starts from the entrance, with the first impression the place leaves. A clientele seeking both medical excellence and a high-end experience is particularly sensitive to the overall coherence of the setting — architecture, reception, materials, and now fragrance.
A well-designed olfactory signature acts as a silent signal of trust: it reassures about the seriousness of the place while establishing an atmosphere closer to that of a luxury home rather than a classic medical practice. It is this balanced tension between clinical rigor and sensory refinement that distinguishes a clinic like CLEO.
Controlled, soft, and continuous diffusion
Thanks to a connected electric diffuser, Aranciera is accurately deployed in every space. Neither too strong nor too discreet, it becomes a sensory thread that reinforces the identity and coherence of the place.
This continuity is essential in a care pathway: from the waiting room to the consultation room, the same signature accompanies the patient at every stage, helping to alleviate any apprehension before a medical procedure.
An identity born from a historic place
The choice of an 18th-century building is not insignificant in the construction of CLEO's identity: this architectural heritage imposes strong aesthetic demands, which the olfactory signature had to meet with equal precision. Aranciera was designed to dialogue with this setting rather than contradict it — a contemporary fragrance that respects the soul of the building without ever making it heavy.
This dialogue between heritage and bespoke creation illustrates an approach that Diaphane Projects frequently encounters in its projects: the best olfactory signature is never simply superimposed on a place; it extends its history.
A vision shared by four founders
Dr. Anne-Charlotte Allahoum's initial request had a particular requirement: to translate into a fragrance not the vision of a single person, but that of four founders united around the same project. This collective dimension guided all the creative work towards a consensual rather than personal fragrance — a signature capable of representing a team and a common vision, rather than a single individual sensibility.
This is a different exercise from one carried out for a place driven by a single creator: here, it was necessary to find a common olfactory denominator, strong enough to embody a brand identity, but consensual enough to bring together several perspectives around the same choice.
Fragrance, the new standard for high-end care
In the aesthetic medicine sector, competition is no longer solely based on medical expertise: it also depends on the overall experience offered to the patient. More and more high-end establishments are investing in architecture, decoration, and now olfactory identity to differentiate themselves from medical offerings sometimes perceived as cold or clinical.
CLEO illustrates this evolution: a clinic that fully embraces a sensory and hospitality dimension, without ever compromising the medical excellence that remains at the heart of its raison d'être.
A future iteration...
Given the enthusiastic reception from initial patients, Aranciera could soon be available as scented candles or reed diffusers, to extend the experience beyond the consultation. A lasting sensory connection, true to the spirit of CLEO.
